An interesting and dynamic piece of work. It is strong but with softer movement and texture along its sides.The aged look of the piece is also powerful and gives the illusion of longevity and permanance.
After speaking to Dan, I was intrigued as to the context of his argument with this work. The question as to what constitutes a 'painting' is of a wide remit indeed. Even though I am not entirely convinced this piece is a painting (or even a drawing as Dan said it could be), one really has to acknowledge the enquiry probing nature of Dan's work.
